We are a father-daughter duo in Chicago, Ill.

Darnell is a career sports writer with an irrational obsession for the Minnesota Vikings. Parker is a rambunctious fourth-grader who loves reading and recycling, tigers and Magna-Tiles, the color pink and, of course, candy!

We have committed to becoming financially literate so we will make smarter choices with money and build a better future for our family. Our goal, through daily “money talks,” is to break free from destructive financial behaviors we didn’t know we carried and transition to more fruitful habits with earning and spending, saving and investing.
