You have just detailed what we (Parents) do to raise our children.
We love them!
We provide for them at the highest level that we can.
We see their needs and the desires of their hearts.
We extend ourselves to give of our time, talent and treasure to meet their needs and to surpass their desires, if and whenever we can.
And like investing in the stock market, we hold on to quality stocks for years, pouring more into that portfolio over 20 or more years, watching its ups and downs as we watch our cute/handsome little portfolio mature.
We learn our greatest lessons about instant gratification from what we don’t always get from our children. And yet, there is no greater satisfaction - short-term or long-term that we will ever gain in life — except maybe from our grandchildren!
If this one lasts half as long as the previous iPad; your investment in her learning, planning, and connecting will be less than a monthly Disney+ subscription. There’s value in that. Nice job!
