Parker had her chance to explain herself.
She couldn’t come up with much.
“It was late,” she said in Episode 5 of the Money Talks podcast, trying but failing to make clear why she had a slightly sour mood during her 10th birthday celebration.
After digging into what was up with Parker, we welcomed our first guest to the show, my mother and Parker’s grandmother, Alberta Mayberry. She made her annual visit to Chicago for Parker’s birthday, so you know we had to get her on the pink rug in Parker’s room where we record. It was Grandma Berta’s first podcast!
Parker and her Grandma Berta did great with not talking over each other, normally a problem for them on FaceTime. They felt like naturals. And I’m so thankful to have been a part of the conversation.
In this episode, we each took turns sharing our perspectives on the fundamental money principles I’ve taught Parker: make money, keep money and build money.
We hope you enjoy the episode below.
